Max Detectors

Geophysical Profiling to the next stage

Max aims at measuring the lateral variation of a property, such as gravity or magnetic fields. Profiling, in contrast is the term used to describe the measurement of vertical variations of a property in electromagnetic and other no seismic geophysical methods. Max made an advancement in these perspectives by an array of electrodes is altered but the same spacing between the component electrodes is maintained. These methods enable investigators to pinpoint variations of resistivity with depth.

Electric resistivity methods are a form of geophysical surveying that aids in imaging the subsurface. These methods utilize differences in electric potential to identify subsurface material. Resistivity is fundamentally related to Ohm’s Law measuring Resistance.

As seen with electric profiling there is a constant need to move the electrodes along a certain profile. To seek an accurate subsurface image surveyor, tend to use a multitude of survey techniques in order to eliminate the effect of some of these errors. Resistivity methods are simply some of the many tools used to do this.

As the electrical resistivity survey requires more man power and more time consuming the advancement in profiling system helps in easy operation with very less time consumption in determination of lithological characterization and depth analysis.
